What is a background check?
A background check is a process a person or company uses to verify that a person is who they claim to be, and provides an opportunity for someone to check a person’s criminal record, education, employment history, and other activities that happened in the past in order to confirm their validity. Employment Background Checks
Employers run background checks to avoid hiring someone who may pose a threat to the workplace or become a liability to the employer. Seventy-two percent (72%) of employers run a background check for every person they hire.

    Now I have a question.
    I work in a government project with payroll of a company (let ABC company) in the government campus. The company don't know all of my roles and responsibilities in the project.
    Now as per my designation, I do website designing for the office. But besides, I have learned and practiced server administration on my own and mentioned this in my CV as an extra responsibility (which is actually not true) for applying to a big MNC.
    Now can I be caught? Can the big MNC verify that?
