  1. David forgot to mention that only 365 applications were affected. That is, only 365 applications were required to have an NICS check. Given that 291 of those licenses were later revoked, Florida had a pretty good pre-check in place.

  2. Never attribute malaise to something that can be attributed to stupidity. This is one thing I like about your program. I look things up on the internet and try to broaden myself mentally. I am sure I will find a use for this tidbit, thank you.

  3. Okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to say this once and this is the only time, the Southern States of America are the stupidest states ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. The Republican party has neutered the ATF they cannot do their job. They are undermanned, and they have no real authority from what I have gathered.

  5. And Putnam who's in charge of these employees says there were no problems. It was caught a year later and fixed, OMG

  6. I really like guns… but this just isn't right. Like what the actual fuck? We need to be better at regulating this shit.

  7. A while back, I remember on the Drunken Peasants Podcast, that they did a segment that TJ called something like: “Florida or Africa.

He then read headlines to various ridiculous stories, and you had to guess if they happened in Florida or Africa.

Needless to say, the most absurd, unbelievable stories, that sound like they could only be from a third world, almost lawless nation, were actually from Florida.

I can’t really comment on the state of the State myself, as I’m not American, and I’ve never been to Florida…

…BUT, usually, it seems, when weird and bizarre things happen in the USA, about 7 or 8 times out of 10, they’ve gone down in Florida.

Must make it an interesting place to live.

  8. "Never attribute to malice which can be atributed to stupidity" .. is a good proverb ?
BUT, "Malice can emulate stupid to get the result they want".

Microsoft anti-competitive practice is a perfect example, you can find many 'bugs' stories in windows that just "happen" to plague competitors..

Or in politics, you can find many law that appear to be for goodness, but happen to have a side effect that strangely benefit lawmakers's donor or nefarious goal.
