    Is your girlfriend Cuban?

Lenard..i was a 13 y/o cuban boy when i came to U.S. back in 1961..was hired by LAPD in 1974,,,and now retired,,,
I sure dont see the difficulty in obtaining employment w/ city/county departments…the hiring standards have come way down to accommodate quota hires of unqualified women and africans…pretty pitiful…and consequently unqualified people slip through..total morons.
Memba…girls come and go…but when your looks go…your pension keeps you in the green..and financially secured.

I cant speak for every department, but at the end of 2016 when I first separated from the Army less than 90 days prior I was voluntarily forced out of the NY State Troopers based on my family affiliation. I have 14 years military experience with multiple combat tours, a degree in criminal justice and a squeaky clean record without ever receiving as much as a parking ticket in my life. I can't speak for everywhere but being told to "kick rocks" because my family makes poor decisions absolutely crushed me. I know it should not reflect the whole of the NY State Police but it was absolutely ridiculous that the background investigators could force me out over this particular reason. I am not trying to discourage anyone but be prepared for the occasional investigator that might be a bit full of himself and screws you over. Good Luck to everyone in this field

All of this just to become a police officer having a clean background ain't good enough and it's a low paying job I change my mind about becoming a cop it's a big waste of time

I got disqualified for admitting to stealing candies at the age of 14. I got disqualified and appealed. Since I lost the appeal, I can never apply with the agency ever, Lapd. I have friends that are cops, and they were telling me that I didn’t have to disclose every detail. I’m now a journeyman lineman, making on an average of $250k a year. America’s economy, politics, beliefs, value and government is going down the toilet. Time will prove that.

Thanks for the video, I anyways wated to become a police officer for a couple of reasons. 1 – To serve and protect the people. 2 – Because I rights have been violated many many times in Miami-Dade Specialy in Hialeah, for this reason I have about 26 tickets, most of them were given to me as a punishment for knowing my righst. And police officers will never admit wrong doing. So most of this tickets have been dismissed in court. The only ticket I did pay in the last 7 or 8 years that I recall was a speeding tickets 80 on a 70 (turnpike). Also, on 2015 I was charged with a misdemeanor for shoplifting. So it took me almost 2 years to expunge that record and clear my name, so as of today I have a clean record for 2+ years and not guilty in any traffic tickets for at least 7+ years. I am 33 years old, my girlfriend and I have been together for 6 plus years and we have 2 beautiful kids one is almost 2 years old and the second is almost 2 months old. So with this what are my chances. I would love with all my heart to serve the people as a police officer and make a good impact in the community, but I can't risk that money if I am not sure I can get a job. Thanks for your time.

Hi there, I would like to be police officer, but English is my second language. I decided to join the National Guard because background history looks better with military records .When I signed my contract for the National Guard I was unfamiliar   with army procedures, even I didn’t know how march. I only  went to one  drill weekend  and they send me to basic training , that’s why in basic training I was very confuse about Military  instructions. The drill sergeant begun saying that I didn’t understand English. They decided to send me back to home because they wanted to send me to English school to Texas. When I went to the National Guard office, the sergeants told me that it  was weird , that they send me back to home  because  even I was talking with them in English. My recruiter took me to meps  to take the English second language exam  to  see if I was able to send me to English school in Texas , but I didn’t qualify because I get higher score. My MOES in the  National Guard  was 19 delta, but my recruiter  asked me if I would like to change my MOES  19 delta for 11 bravo  to not have the same experience  that  I had  when  I went to basic training and   I said yes. My recruiter was trying to make a negotiation  to change my MOES , but they said to my recruiter  that my process could delay until 2 years and  the best way  would be get discharged for  6 months . So I get general discharge, but I will come back in July. Do you think we this discharged it is going to be hard to apply for police officer?

I have a Class A misdemeanor that was differed from 2011. It was UCW in Texas. Class A's, even differed adjudications, are lifetime disqualifers unless I somehow get a waiver. Do you think there would be a possibility in Florida?

  18. Anson Wu says:

Do you think I can get hired if i am being truthful in the polygraph with me stealing as a teen and also have one misdemeanor for trespassing as well as a father that had previous arrest records like 10 years old? Thanks a lot

  19. Fit Nick says:

So when your on the polygraph and you’ve done drugs do you admit it

  21. Bryan Quiroga says:

I have a question, I went to take my live screen fingerprints for California Corrections. I'm going, to be honest with you, and would like some advice. In 2013, I applied for a cleaning agency, that agency cleaned the sheriff's buildings. Even though I did not apply through the sheriff's agency, they to took my fingerprints to work there. The problem was that I forgot to mention it on my PHS form, do you think they will find out? They fired me from that job because I wasn't working the way they want me to, but it was 7 years ago.
