SO YOU WENT ON AWOL OR LEFT WITHOUT NOTICE: Tell the truth or lie to your interviewer? // In today’s video, I will answer another FAQ. This question is very tricky to answer because each of us has a reason why we want to just leave the company. Regardless though, I’ve always believed that it is still better to resign properly. But what if you went on AWOL and in your next application, your interviewer asks you? What should you say or do?

    Mag tanong lang po ako kung ano ang dapat kong gawin kase pinadalhan na po ako ng notice of awol ng employer ko.
    Morethan 30 days na kase ako wala info, pero balak ko na rin mag resign . Paano po ba ito?

    Good day, here is my case.

    I was endorsed to HR by my TL because I did not show up for 5 consecutive days. The reason is that I failed versant, but still the clients decided to keep me and assigned me to back office work instead (I was greatly distressed and saddded by this). Also, I am suffering from sinus congestion and it's getting worse everyday, it's already giving me severe headache (my TL noticed this too). I know that I cannot function well during that time, If I continued, I might just spent most of the day inside the clinic. That is why I did not show up anymore.

    I cannot present any medical certificate as I am allergic to some medications. Instead, I relied on natural remedies which gave me relief.

    My concern is… I did not file any resignation letter because I want to go back to that company. One of my waivemates told me that I must wait 6 months before I can re-apply. Counting from October 2019, the 6th month will be on April 2020. But unfortunately, this pandemic occurred.

    I did not undergo any clearance as well (I only cleared my locker). The only thing I surrendered is my headset. My ID, healthcard and ATM is still with me.

    My question is… can I still go back to that company? Is 'endorsed to Hr' also AWOL?

    Sorry for this naïve question as this was my first call center job ever and I don't know the whole process when exiting a job, etc.

    Ms. Rhea stressed na po ako about dito. Ayaw po ng company ng immediate resign, gusto po nila render ng 30 days. Pag immediate resign daw po considered nila as awol. Stressed na po ako kasi di na sila maka.tao. di ko na po sila kayang pasukan.

    Simple fact. Kahit exhausted mo na yung leaves mo at kailangan mo pa ding asikasuhin ang personal mo na bagay or nakaratay ka pa din sa hospital, you need to keep your employer updated. There's no excuse for failing to text/message/call. Unable to? Have it done by someone in your behalf. Don't burn bridges guys. Kahit di ka nakapagsabi pero alam mo na valid ang reason mo't talagang di mo lang kayang magsabi during those ill times you can still communicate these things once you're in good shape.Resign properly. Plus think of your government reportorials' proper transition such as your withholding tax returns, SSS, HDMF, PHIC, etc. Lastly, proper resignation provides you the Certificate of Employment, showing your clear/clean record from yoyr previous employer.

    Hi Ms. Rea awol ako before because I got preggy pero ngayon nakapag apply na ko sa iba naman company at hinde kona dineclare yung experience ko kase awol naman ako and then eto na na hired nako at nakapag JO na ko. Pero kinakabahanako kass nga awol ako eh may background checking pa naman. Please sana mapansin ano po bang mangyayare

    Hi Ms rea, ask lang po sana. I sent my immediate resignation thru email sa TL ko because of pandemic kaya napilitan talaga ako magresign from my previous work and hindi na po talaga kakayanin na magrender pa for 30 days. Pwede pa po ba ako makakuha ng COE?

    Ano po pwede ireason in my case. I'm still working on my current company pero may interview po ako this week because im searching for another job kasi maliit po ang offer sakin dito sa current company na pinapasukan ko pero ayaw ko po matengga thats why nagapply po ako sa ibang company while im still employed. I wonder if the interviewer will ask me bakit di ka pa resign? Ano po maganda isagot TIA.

    Mam pano kung almost 3years ng awol at nagpasa ka ng letter at sabi ng hr ay hnd daw makakuha ng coe dahil awol nanganak kasi ako at magkasunod naging anak ko kaya d na ako nakabalik ng work.

    Hi Miss Rea, I just would like to ask po, kasi before I was hired in my previous company then Nagtraining po ako for almost 2 weeks po but not taking calls pa po then Nag AWOL po ako because of personal problem. Should I be worried po about it na baka na makita yun sa employment history or it is still not considered since I was just a Trainee?

    What if mag didisclose po ako ng information sa previous company ko but i cant provide COE dahio hindi ako nag pa clearance sa previous company ko. Pwede po bang hindi ako maka provide ng COE ?

    Hi Rea! I just wanted to ask. I wanted to resign the right way. I was having anxiety and extreme stress at work. Our operations manager is also definitely the strictest operations manager out there and our community is very competitive.

    I wanted to resign as soon as possible. I asked for an immediate resignation but was told that I had to render 30 days.

    During the 30 days rendering period, can I incur some absences? I really don't mind my back pay being reduced. I just wanted to ease what I am feeling right now and to get these over with. I am not entitled to SL's and VL's due to not being regularized just yet.

    After I am free from my current job, I do plan on going for the BPO industry again while face to face classes are not yet available. Preferably on non voice and in BGC area since BGC is just walking distance from my house so way less hassle.

    Hello. I don't know where to begin but I'm hoping you could help me clear my mind. I was in a BPO company for more than a year now and then they fired me for call avoidance. Now before I got fired. They gave me a 30 days suspension no pay and after that I have to attend an HR hearing. But I was really down even after 30 days I did not attend the HR hearing and they just terminated me right away. My question is, can I still get a job after getting fired? And do I have to disclose it? And was it considered AWOL since I did not attend the HR hearing?

    Hi Ms Rea, 2 weeks plng po ako sa work, then I immediately resigned po because of family emergency- death of family member, pero stated po kasi sa contract ung 60days notice. pero nagpush po ako ng immediate resignation kasi ayon po family emergergency tlga. wla pa po akong final pay at hindi na nagrereply ung hr sakin, balak ko po sana not to disclose na ung company na un sa work hisotry ko, pero naka list na sya sa employment history ko sa sss, pagibig and philhealth at my employer contribution na dn. hindi na dn kasi sila nagrereply regarding clearance and coe ko ( hindi ko dn po kasi nacomply ung notice period and proper turnover because of immediate resignation), pero nagrereach out po ako sa kanila regarding process ng clearance and coe but no reply. (not my first job po etoh). should i disclose pa dn po ba sa interview na nagwork ako sa kanila? Thank you.

    So I went awol on my previous company, but now hired na ako sa isang company and I already submitted the requirements except sa coe at bir form no. 2316 kasi nga hindi ko pa naprocess sa previous company ko and wala din akong idea kung bibigyan ba nila ako. Pero sinabi ko sa company ko ngayon na to follow nalang yong kulang ko sa requirements at pumayag naman sila. So what will happen if hindi ko mabigay tong coe at 2316 sa new employer ko?
