Hi Joy. Thank you for this information. I have only sent a thank you email and I do it a day or 2 after the interview. I always thought calling was annoying since they probably get so many calls in a day. However, I will try calling going forward

Thank you for making this video Joy! I'm in the job interview process, I will implement this new method although in past materials I was advised not to contact the organization beyond sending a thank you letter. I appreciate you being so candid about your career change. I'm in this journey currently. All the best! -D.

Thank you, Joy! I really needed to see this video today! I’ve been recently applying for a new job and this was so encouraging. I literally just started applying so I’m not sure if I can contribute on what works for me yet, but I will let you know!

Have you been to America? I thought you were American at first because of your accent.

Thanks Joy. Had a final interview 2 weeks ago and followed up with the recruiter a week later for an update. No answer. I did ask the hiring manager when I should expect to hear but he didn’t provide me a timeline as he said he is still interviewing candidates and this company is huge. Shall I now trying calling the recruitment manager? I don’t want to sound like a pest but I don’t want this opportunity to pass me by. Please advise

Saying that you’re interviewing for other roles can backfire too; it can give them room to exhale; decline offering you the role and give it to another candidate.
